Are epidural safe?

I am 19 and this is my first baby but im really terrified of going into labour. The pain is scaring me to death. Are epidurals a safe option? And does it completely eliminate the pain of labour?

epidurals are perfectly safe, they have been used for years. And better than that you literally can't feel any pain from the labour at all. It can be a little scary for first time because it completely numbs you from the waste down.
